The Star Players
of Bristol County have won the prestigious 2008 Moss Hart award for best community theatre production in all New England. The award is given each year by the New England Theatre Conference a non-profit group of theatre artists
and professionals representing each state in New England.
The Moss Hart award is given to recognize and encourage the highest standards of excellence in live theatre and honor
the life of Broadway director, writer and producer Moss Hart.
The award was
given to Star Players Artistic Director Joel O. Thayer for his production of “My Fair Lady” that was produced
at the Gerald Croteau theatre in Taunton this past August. “This show was a remarkable experience for myself and the cast, it is a great
honor to be recognized by a group of our peers” stated Mr. Thayer. The award was presented to Mr. Thayer at the New
England Theatre Conference annual convention on November 22.
